A Week of Commutes – 2/3/2012

By Kevin Gordon

It was a fun week of afternoon commutes this week. Some days, it seems like it is going to be tough to get something together for the ride home, but every day there is something worthwhile happening in the automotive world. We hope you enjoy the commentary from this week. If there is anything different you would like to see during the afternoon commute please let us know in the comments. After the break are all five commutes from this week.

On Monday we talked about the start of the Nurburgring, Super Bowl Ad season, Lamborghini just saying no to turbo engines, the 24 hour race from Daytona, and new CAFE requirements from California.

On Tuesday we talked about price fixing, I tell you to put your kids in booster seats, the 2013 Viper teaser images get poked fun at and I review potential rules to give you less control over what happens while driving your car.

On Wednesday we talked about the long term test Ecoboost F-150’s first service, January’s sales results, McLaren’s F1 car, and the 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser.

On Thursday we talked about a fuel efficient BMW, a Lamborghini SUV, and a lawsuit against Honda.

On Friday we talked about an update to the Escort IQ radar/nav unit, Toyota becoming the world number 1 in 2012, Superbowl ads, the auto journo skirmish, the 2012 Ferrari F1 car and an Ultimate Factories review of the F-150.
