A Week of Commutes – 1/27/2012

In our second full week of filming the afternoon commute, we fell into more of a rhythm. The audio issues appear to have been resolved and we’ve settled on a camera placement. Keep us posted on what you would be interested in seeing and hearing about in the automotive world. After the break are all of the videos from this week.

On Monday we talked about the Chevy Volt, Barrett Jackson, a cell phone blocking device, VW trying to buy Porsche, a more expensive Nissan GT-R, and I gripe about F1 ticket prices.

On Tuesday we talked about the Nissan Juke R, the Camaro ZL1, Car And Driver’s Lightning Lap, and I tell you to stay home when it snows.

On Wednesday we talked about the ongoing saga of the Chevrolet Volt, a new slogan which Ford hopes will let them “Go Further”, the death of the Dodge Avenger, and a gimmick involving a special edition of the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

On Thursday we talked about how Ford is doing as a company and also I discuss what turbo lag actually is and what it is not.

On Friday we talked about Ford’s profits, a makeover plan for the Chevy Volt’s image, and some upcoming “Big Game” ads.

  1. Just want to say I am enjoying watching these. It’s nice to be able to get a little info/opinion on the topics of the day that don’t warrant a full write-up. Good work.

  2. Thanks Luke. We appreciate the positive feedback.
