Audi Releases U.S Prices For All New 2012 A7

By Carl Malek

Audi has released the final U.S pricing for the all new 2012 Audi A7 coupe. Interested in owning one of the most stylish five door sedans Audi has ever created? Be prepared to relieve your wallet of $59,250 $(60,125 when the $875  destination fee is added to the mix) for a base [Premium] model. This would put it around the middle of the Audi pricing ladder between the $45,200 Audi A6 and the $78,050 A8 flagship.

Spending all those hard earned dollars will reward buyers with Audi’s 310 horsepower 3.0 liter TSI V6 which is paired to a eight speed automatic gearbox. Also joining the standard equipment list is Audi’s familiar and expected Quattro all wheel drive system. In the A7, the system is programmed to have a rear-biased 60/40 power split.

Want more exclusivity in your A7? Step on up to the $62,810 ($63,685 with destination charges) Premium Plus model. The Plus version adds Audi Connect and MMI Navigation Plus with MMI touch controls ontop of the equipment you already get in the base A7.  Lastly for those that want the best A7 and money is no object Audi offers a Prestige Plus model. Upgrade to this trim and you will add four zone climate control, 12 way power seats with heat and ventilation, a Bose sound system and full time LED tail lamps.

The official Audi A7 online configurator (which is currently running as of this writing) appears to indicate that the A7’s final price could swell past the $80,000 mark when fully equipped with optional extras. A few notable items that can be found on the A7’s extensive list of options include the $5,900 Bang and Olufsen Advanced Sound System, The $1,500 20-inch wheel sport package, and the $5,800 Innovation Package that equips the A7 with adaptive cruise control, blind spot protection, and night vision. Regardless of the flavor of A7, the 3.0 liter TSFI engine will be the only powertrain choice available stateside.

The first batch of the new models will be arriving at Audi dealers later this month.  Expect them to be a popular purchase among Audi fans and new customers alike.
