Interested in Writing for Autosavant?

IF you’ve got something to say about cars or the car business, and would like to write for Autosavant, please drop me a line.

I am currently looking for columnists/contributors who have a passion for some auto-related subject as I am looking to increase our coverage in terms of overall auto-related categories. It can be anything having to do with cars – manufacturing, design, sales, finance, reviews, opinion, roads, art, dealers, history, alternative fuel vehicles, car ownership, mechanical advice, international reports, an in-country focus (China, India, Russia) etc. You get the idea; almost anything car-related. You must be able to write well, and exhibit a combination of being both entertaining and factual in your writing. Strong opinions or biases are not an issue. You should be passionate about the subject areas you pick. We are not one of the major automotive sites in terms of traffic, but are seen by many as one of the comprehensive and insightful websites for automotive coverage and commentary.

You can write as much as you want and cover the topics that interest you most. The professional writers that write for Autosavant now find this premise particularly attractive. This position is ideal for a writer/journalist looking to make their bones and create a portfolio that features the best of your talents and abilities. We are also willing to consider unpublished writers.

We are particularly interested in writers that can write well in English but are based in regions that have developing auto markets; regions like Latin America, India, Africa, Middle East, Russia, etc. Several of our frequent commenters bring outstanding knowledge and insight about cars and the car business to Autosavant, so we’d like to extend a specific invitation to those individuals to contribute to Autosavant as writers.

You may contribute on a weekly basis, a monthly basis, or on a regular schedule you yourself design. It is a paid, but not well-paid, position. But you will get your point of view published under your name. Or, a pseudonym, if you desire. It’s up to you.

Interested? Then contact me at and tell me what you want to write about, how often, and why you chose those subjects; as well as anything else you think is pertinent to the subsequent conversation we may have. I’d like to hear from you and I promise I will respond to you as soon as I can. All responses will remain confidential.
