Super Bowl Ads Ready for Launch, Plus, a New Site from Audi

With all the predictions of 2008 being a slow sales year for car makers, how much impact do you think this year’s automotive Super Bowl spots will produce? Will the commercial that makes the biggest splash also deliver the most foot traffic through showroom doors?

Automotive News reports that during today’s game, we’ll see ads about cars from General Motors, Toyota, Hyundai, Audi, and This is the first time Hyundai and have run ads during the Super Bowl and I plan on reporting back with my take on all the automotive spots later.

Right now, you can check out from Audi, where you’ll be greeted by the stunning, new R8. Today marks the launch of this Audi site which you might want to check out before the start of the game. If you go there during the first quarter, you might not return to your television.
